Ireland is the winner!!! I have already been to Alaska by ferry and on foot; I hiked many of the trails, the Chilkoot and the Resurrection Pass Trail, I worked and played there for 3 months. So I want to try something new.
This Spring I spent two weeks in Portugal for an International Symposium for work, and I was enthralled by the castles and ruins there. The old Churches and Monasteries nestled in the small towns and the castles were very intriguing.
My ancestors are from Ireland, and the history that surrounds the country would be very special to me. So instead of going to Australia or New Zealand, that will have to wait until I can explore Ireland. I will base my plans on a two week trip, by myself.
I will use this web site to plan my trip. I have talked with friends that booked their trip through this site and they were impressed with all the options and the price range they could choose. The self drive tours give me flexibility to decide as I please about where I want to go and when. The Irish Pub and Music Tour or the Ancient Ireland Tour are right up my alley.
